A little bit of the story...
The funds of the foundation are a legacy of the Bush Nursing Hospital and the Mirboo North Aged Care facility.
The foundation acknowledges all those who helped create the Bush Nursing Hospital and the Aged Care facilities which has resulted in the funds now available for the benefit of the community. The foundation transitioned from a provider of Aged Care facilities to a Charitable Community Foundation Institution in January 2010.

The foundation is a membership based incorporated association governed by a volunteer board of directors with a wide range of skills and an extensive knowledge of the community. Six directors are elected by the members and three are appointed by the board.
Day to day management is provided by an Executive Officer. The foundation also has the support of various professional bodies and companies providing services at reduced or pro bono rates.
The Mirboo North and District Community Foundation Inc (MNDCF) has been endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as a Charitable and Tax Exempt Institution.
The foundation has established a Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) fund to which donations are tax deductible.
