Community Recovery Fund
Helping our community recover from challenges and disasters.
About the Fund
On Tuesday the 13th February, Mirboo North & surrounding areas were unexpectedly hit by an incredibly powerful storm.
The storm crippled the power infrastructure and knocked out the communications, flattened trees, tore off roofs and hanging branches and trees damaged many homes and vehicles.
This Fund helps to:
Support mental health and wellbeing
Reconnect community.
Repair and replant our landscape.
Make homes and properties safe.
Most of the $95,000 received into the Recovery Fund has already gone back into local recovery projects, ranging from school-based trauma recovery for children, to resilience equipment for community spaces and events that allow people to connect and share their experiences.
