What The Fund Supports

  • The Financial Hardship Fund helps local individuals and families who are struggling to meet basic needs due to rising living costs or unexpected life events.

This fund supports:

  • Food security programs, including the Hope N Help food-hampers program run by Equip Church

  • Essential toiletries and hygiene items for families who can’t afford them

  • School welfare funds across all district schools — five primary schools and Mirboo North Secondary College for uniforms, camp fees, excursions etc

  • Emergency essentials for households facing sudden hardship

  • Seasonal assistance, especially around Christmas, when demand for food and support is at its highest

Your donation makes sure help is available quickly, quietly, and with dignity.

Why Your Donation Matters

Many in our community are doing it tough. Over the past year, the cost of food, fuel, medication and essential items has risen sharply. For some families, this means the weekly budget no longer stretches far enough – and necessities like groceries, toiletries or children’s school needs become unaffordable.

Hope N Help sees this need through its fortnightly food-distribution program run by Equip Church.  In early 2022, they were distributing 20 hampers every two weeks; today it is over 50.

The Financial Hardship Fund supports those organisations like Hope N Help and the Schools to support those doing it tough.
