Building a stronger future together

Mirboo North & District Community Foundation

The Future Fund exists to support the long-term wellbeing, resilience and prosperity of the Mirboo North & District community.

Established through the sale of the Mirboo North Community Aged Care Facility, the Fund protects and invests $5.1 million on behalf of the community, ensuring that these resources continue to benefit local people for generations to come.

The Community Foundation manages the Future Fund through careful governance and responsible investment, with a commitment to maintaining the value of the fund over time. Income generated through the Fund helps support projects, programs and initiatives that strengthen our community socially, economically and environmentally.

The Foundation’s vision is that together with the community, we can make our district more prosperous, adaptive and resilient — and that together, we can make a meaningful difference.

“The Future Fund exists to protect and grow community assets so they can continue supporting local people long into the future.”

A lasting investment in local impact

Through strategic investment and community-led decision making, the Future Fund helps create opportunities that support wellbeing, connection and resilience across the district.

While immediate grants and donations play an important role, the Future Fund focuses on ensuring there are sustainable resources available for future generations and emerging community needs.

As the community changes and grows, the Fund provides a strong foundation for long-term local impact.
