Choo Choo Market 2018

The seventh annual Choo Choo Market is already on the horizon and will take place this year on Saturday 25th August at Mirboo North Shire Hall between 9am and 2pm.

For those of you who haven’t been, the Choo Choo Market is a vibrant indoor makers market, which gathers artisans from across the Gippsland Region and beyond. Offering a hall full of handcrafted and unique wares to suit all tastes, it has earned a strong reputation among shoppers and stall holders alike. “We draw visitors from right across our region, to shop at our unique indoor market”, says Lorinda Campbell, Mirboo North Playgroup President.

Last year’s market saw beautiful hand-made childrens’ clothing, knits, crocheted goodies, beeswax food wraps, beautiful wooden toys, home décor and a local organic farm producing gourmet pantry essentials, preserves, cakes and confectionary.  To get a better picture, look at ‘She Sows Seeds’ blog at: http://www.shesowsseeds.com/2017/08/28/off-i-choof-to-choo-choo/

This year we are promised some old favourites as well as many new makers and crafts people, so keep an eye on the FaceBook @ChooChooMarket to find out about the many tempting stalls who will be selling their wares at the 2018 market.

The Community Foundation is delighted to be a major sponsor of this key fundraiser for Mirboo North Playgoup, which provides such a supportive environment for local families to build strong community connections.  Mirboo North Playgroup strongly believes that it should be affordable for all members of the community, and always strive to keep their membership costs as low as possible.
