Medical Centre Progress

The Mirboo North & District Community Foundation is in the process of building a modern, purpose built medical centre facility on the main street of Mirboo North, which will be leased and operated by the existing Mirboo North Medical Centre practice.

The aim of this project is to bring to life our joint vision for improving the healthcare in our district through expanded access to bulk billing GPs and allied health services.

This is the Community Foundation’s first impact investment, which means that the building will be owned by the Community Foundation as an investment – an investment with a financial and social return.

Since the appointment of Langden Construction in March, progress has been very visible for locals.  One local in particular, Val Smith, has kindly recorded this progress through her photographs which she regularly shares with us, the Mirboo North Medical Centre as well as the Mirboo North Times.

We hope you enjoy seeing the progress of the facility over the last four months – it is due to be finished in October, weather permitting.
