Mirboo North Times opens Recovery Grants Program

Support for Small-Scale Recovery Projects Now Available

The Mirboo North Times Community Fund is now open for applications for funding of up to $1,000 for community projects, events or initiatives in support of community resilience and recovery.  Resilience and recovery looks different for everyone, so this simple and easy to access grant opportunity is about allowing the community to tackle some smaller on-going concerns.  What might this look like?
Think re-planting project, some disaster preparedness plans or an event to bring people together.

The Mirboo North Times set up this fund within the Community Foundation through a donation of $179,000 back in January 2024.  In the six months to the end of the 2024 financial year this fund earned just under $5,000 which the MN Times committee have decided will go straight back into supporting community volunteers doing what they do best.

How to Apply for the Recovery Grants Program

If you have an idea in mind, all you need to do is complete a two page application form, including a mini budget, and attach a supporting quote.
An incorporated organisation is generally required to make the application, but we can help you find an auspicing organisation to assist if that is not the case.

Applications close on Thursday 24th April, so get in touch asap by email, phone or call in to Co-space during school hours on weekdays.  Email Ruth or Dani on info@mirboodistrictfoundation.org.au or call Ruth on 0418 301092.
