The Financial Hardship Fund provides practical assistance to individuals and families across the district who may be experiencing unexpected financial hardship or challenging life circumstances.
The Fund supports a range of community-led initiatives and direct assistance programs designed to help reduce stress and improve wellbeing during difficult periods. This may include support for essential household needs, emergency relief, back-to-school assistance, wellbeing initiatives and other practical community responses.
Through partnerships with local schools, community organisations, volunteers and support services, the Fund helps ensure assistance reaches local people in a respectful, practical and community-focused way.
The Financial Hardship Fund is supported through donations, community giving initiatives and fundraising efforts, helping local people support one another when it is needed most.
