First Tree Bee this year for Landcare

Mardan Mirboo North Landcare Group Inc. has told us that they conducted their first Tree Bee this year after lockdown restrictions were eased.

With all the Covid19 restrictions in place, volunteers from the group planted 500 trees. They told us they were privileged to have a fine sunny day to enjoy being out in open!

They thanked the Mirboo North and District Community Foundation for the community grant that Mardan Mirboo North Landcare group received last year.

The grant was used for fencing and trees to extend the Koala corridor network throughout Mardan, Mirboo North and Berrys Creek to protect and provide habitat for indigenous fauna, especially our local koalas.

Well done to the Mardan Mirboo North Landcare Group for all their care and hard work!
